M V SONNING

The "Sonning" is a stylish choice for any suitable event.  Built in 1902 as a River Thames Passenger Steamer, she features upper deck areas seating 90 people, with a downstairs Edwardian style saloon for a further 45.  We recommend a total limit of 100 passengers for private functions.  A fully licensed bar in the saloon serves a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks, tea and coffee.  Modern Ladies and Gents toilets are also situated below decks.

Wheelchair access is limited to the main upper deck only.

Passengers are recommended to wear suitable footwear.

Private hire can be arranged for most times of the day (up to 11.00 pm) with a choice of trip duration to suit your requirements (min 2 hours, Sat 3 hours), a choice selection of appetising meals, including the very popular BBQ. 
Live entertainment is available on request.

Daytime Private Hire may be restricted on Market Day (Wednesday), Bank Holidays, weekends and school holidays.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book "Sonning".

Fortnightly public summer Jazz Cruises feature the Bob Wilson Traditional Jazz Band are now an established and popular event aboard Sonning during July and August.  These cruises are available for individuals or small groups but advanced booking is essential.  No food can be provided for this event.
